Content Creation, Instagram Reel for Ahuriri Pharmacy
Ahuriri Pharmacy is one of Napier's most well-regarded health and beauty destinations, and this project was a genuinely enjoyable one to be part of as a Hawke's Bay commercial videographer. Commissioned through an advertising agency, the brief was to produce a series of short-form video clips and reels designed specifically for social media — the kind of content that stops the scroll, builds connection with an audience, and communicates the personality of a business in a matter of seconds.
Short-form video content for social media is one of the fastest growing areas of commercial videography, and getting it right requires a different approach to traditional video production. The clips need to feel natural and authentic rather than overly produced, while still maintaining a level of quality that reflects well on the brand. The clip featured here is from the wider series and introduces Sam, Ahuriri Pharmacy's beauty therapist — a warm, engaging presence who comes across beautifully on camera. Introducing the people behind a business is one of the most effective things a brand can do on social media, and Sam's natural ease in front of the lens made this a pleasure to shoot.
