Eva, short film - Actress showcase & personal branding

Eva (@evaography) is a local Hawke's Bay actress, and as a Hawke's Bay commercial videographer I jumped at the chance to collaborate with her on a short film exploring her love of music. It's exactly the kind of creative project I relish — a simple, personal concept with room to craft something genuinely atmospheric and beautiful.

The brief we set ourselves was to convey innocence alongside passion — the feeling of a quiet day spent inside, lost in your own thoughts and the music that soundtracks them. It's a mood many people will recognise and connect with, and translating that feeling into moving image is one of the most rewarding things a videographer can do.

Hair and make-up by the talented @makayla_beer_aka and @marblefox.beauty helped bring the aesthetic to life beautifully, and their work was integral to achieving the delicate, intimate tone we were after.
